I’ve been away for 9 months and again learned what a real family unit is… No matter how dysfunctional you think your family is I guarantee any one of them would take a bullet for you in a second. I honestly don’t feel like I have that from the two people who have been there my whole life. I’d be lucky to get a warning.
Silver lining… Thanks to my fiancée I am part of an amazing family unit and soon after I marry the most beautiful woman on this earth she and I will start a family of our own. If it kills me I will make sure every single one of my children and my wife know that I love them always and unconditionally. I think THAT is Family 101.
Without a visual identity we have no community, no support network, no movement. Making ourselves visible is a continual process.
